Reading: Psalm 37

As we begin our 40-day journey today, read through the entire chapter of Psalm 37. As you read, notice the contrasts between the righteous and wicked and between the futures promised for each. This contrast is the underlying message of the Psalm and shows God’s attitude towards those who love and trust Him vs. those who do not. As a believer, anchor your heart in these promises. Allow them to comfort and strengthen your faith. As you pray today, ask the Lord to bless your time with Him over the next 40 days as you set something aside and seek Him. Invite the Holy Spirit to do a deep work in you and draw you closer to Him.
