Onondaga Nation School: Trail Project

Help prepare the Onondaga Nation School campus for a new school year by serving on this outdoor restoration project. Volunteers will work together to clear brush, replace trail boards, clean up the baseball diamond, and improve the grounds so students, teachers, and staff can enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. If you enjoy working outdoors and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a great opportunity to make a lasting impact through practical service. Volunteers ages 14 and older are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note that power tools will be in use during portions of the project.

About Onondaga Nation School

The Onondaga Nation School serves students from Pre-K through eighth grade, providing the educational tools they need as they grow and prepare for the future. Serving children from the Onondaga Nation, one of the nations of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy, the school uniquely integrates traditional Onondaga culture, language, and environmental education into its curriculum.

More than a place of academics, the school is a place where students learn about their heritage, community values, and the natural environment that surrounds them, helping to strengthen both their education and their connection to their culture.
